The CHINESE EXPORT COMMODITIES FAIR (CECF) will add to it the function of import from the forthcoming 101st, thus be renamed as The CHINESE IMPORT AND EXPORT COMMODITIES FAIR (also known as the Canton Fair), which will be held from April 15th to April 30th,2007 in Guangzhou City, China.
The 101st Canton Fair will, for the first time, set up an Import Exhibition Area, which will facilitate more overseas high quality commodities to come into the Chinese market. The Import Exhibition Area will open to traders from around the world between April 15th and April 20th, 2007 in the Exhibition Hall of Pazhou Complex, with the net exhibition space of 5,500 square meters (the gross exhibition space of 10,400 square meters). The exhibits will be categorized into two major commodities, Industrial Products and Consumer Goods, and will be classified in nine exhibition sections, i.e. Machinery and Equipment, Electronic Information, High Technology, Hardware, Building Materials and Kitchen & Sanitary Equipment, Articles of Daily Use, Decorations and Gifts, Jewelry, Food and Agriculture Products.
The raw space of the Import Exhibition Area is 3,000RMB (about 1,100 Kina) per square meter, and one standard booth with nine square meters and standard facilities is 30,000RMB (about 11,000 Kina). As it is the first time for the Canton Fair to set up the Import Exhibition Area, 25% discount will be offered to overseas exhibitors to facilitate the overseas enterprises. Therefore, after the discount, the raw space of the Import Exhibition Area is 2,250RMB (about 825Kina) per square meter and one standard booth is 22,500RMB (about 8,250Kina).
The deadline for application is January 31st, 2007 and the confirmation notice will be sent to the exhibitors before February 10th, 2007.
