On April 7, Amb. Li Zhengjun took part in the signing ceremony in the National Parliament Conference Hall of an investment MOU between the Titang (Paradise) International Investment Ltd.(TIIL) of Shanghai, China, and the East New Britain Province Government (ENB) of PNG.

According to the MOU, TIIL would provide funding for a series to projects to be built, including ENG Civic Center, Kerevat health center, Kokopo market, etc, while ENG will provide favorable investment environment.

The PNG side is very eager to have the Chinese company to make more investment in the East New Britain province. Hon. Governor Leo Dion, Hon. Planning Minister Sinai Brown, and, Parliament Member for Rabaul Open and former Deputy Prime Minster, Hon. Allan Marat , H.E. Rongap, former PNG Ambassador to China all expressed their gratitude to the Chinese government and Prime Minister Sir Michael Somare for the momentum of development of the bilateral relations gained after Prime Minister Sir Michael's official visit to China. TIIL also expressed their gratitude to all people involved to help it to make the endeavor, and it also hoped that it can open new area of investment in the future.

Amb. Li Zhengjun commended highly the investment momentum after Sir Michael's official visit to China. He hoped that every party involved would spare no efforts to make this investment a great success. He also expressed that the Chinese Embassy is ready to provide assistance for the success of their cooperation.
